How much does it cost to hire a pool from Standby Events?

As each event is unique, we don't offer a "price list"  Basic hire of a standard, small pool will start at around £3,000, but will require various considerations to arrive at a final price.

The size of the pool; the duration of the hire; the time it takes to fill it; whether the pool will be positioned on a flat, stable, surface; the filtration system required; whether the pool is going to be used indoors or outdoors; pool access; whether you require any additional platform elements  or theming, for example.

How long will the pool take to filI?

How long the pool takes to fill with water depends on a number of factors:

  1. The pressure of the water supply at your event,

  2. The size of the outlet

  3. How far away the water supply is from the pool (the longer the hose, the slower the water flow)

  4. The size of the pool.

There’s not a water supply on site to fill the pool. Is this a problem?

If a water supply isn’t available on site, then water will need to be transported the venue. We can cost and arrange this for you, but it often works out more cost effective if you arrange this yourself.

My event takes place outside on a hillside.  Is this a problem?

Ideally, the pool will be positioned on a flat, stable surface. If this isn’t possible, then it’s likely that we will need to build a platform for the pool to stand level on. This may add to the hire price of the pool. A site visit will be necessary before finalising hire costs.

Are changing room facilities provided?

Our standard pool hire does not include the provision of changing rooms. We can supply changing rooms if required at an additional cost.

What if the pool gets damaged or split during the hire period?

As part of our terms and conditions you are required to have adequate events insurance to cover any damage to our pools when under your management and care.

How much water does the pool require to fill?

Pool A:  = Approx. 600,000 litres  (134,000 Gal)

Pool B:  = Approx. 320,000 litres  (70,000 Gal)

Pool C: = Approx. 100,000 litres  (24,000 Gal)

Pool D: = Approx. 50,000 litres  (11,000 Gal)

Pool E: = Approx. 18,000 litres  (4,000 Gal)

Pool F: = Approx. 13,000 litres (3,000 Gal)

Pool G: = Approx.  5,500 litres (1,200 Gal)

How do people get in and out of the pool?

This depends on the depth of the pool. Two sets of steps are supplied as standard with pool A. One set of steps is supplied with pools B,C,D and F. No steps are supplied on our shallower pools – E and G.

Additional elements can be added to a basic pool if required eg. a launch platform

Will Standby Events manage the pool for me during my event?

Standby Events will supply the pool so that it is fit for purpose and regularly check the pools chemical balance to ensure it adheres to Health and Safety requirements. The daily running and management of the pool and the safety of those who use it is the responsibility of you, the hirer of the pool. This includes security when the pool is not open to the public.

How will you drain the pool following the event?

This depends on the facilities at your event, the time available (break-down times) after the event and whether the event is indoors or outdoors. Please tell us what, if any, drainage you have on site.

Please contact us to if you have any other questions or concerns regarding pool hire.
